Our Learning Environments

Exploring Different Spaces

Hawthorn (Infants)

Hawthorn classroom serves as our infant class. Babies are in the process of making sense of the world around them by placing trust in the consistent and reliable care of the adults in their lives, including their caregivers. It is our program's goal to cultivate this trust by being attentive to the individual needs of each child, fostering confidence and a sense of safety in their exploration of the world.

Children in the Hawthorn classroom will encounter various sensory-promoting materials designed to stimulate and encourage learning. They will have the opportunity to explore a safe environment that supports physical development. Even at a young age, they will be exposed to different types of music, books, and a language-rich environment.

Hackberry (Toddlers)

Hackberry classroom serves as our toddler classroom. Children at this age are beginning to discover their capabilities and are starting to assert their independence. In the Hackberry class, teachers prepare the classroom according to the individual interests of each child. Even as young as 15 months, children demonstrate patterns in their play, which teachers observe and scaffold to support the individual development of each child.

Are our toddler 2, two-year-old, preschool, and pre-k classrooms. Equipped with an understanding of early childhood learning, our teachers utilize the learning environment as the "third teacher." Through observation of each child, they leverage this knowledge to enhance the children’s comprehension of how they can contribute to and understand the world around them.

Young children indeed learn through play. With our play-based program, we aim to support the holistic development of every child at every stage. We provide the individualized care they need, fostering an environment that encourages wonder, curiosity, and discovery.
